Brittany grew up in Broomfield, Colorado dancing with Dance Arts Studio’s performance company for seven years and Danse Etoile Ballet’s company as a guest artist for one year.

She received her BFA in Dance Performance and a minor in professional writing from the University of Wyoming in December of 2015. University performance opportunities have included: Disguised in Silence (Jennifer Deckert), Shift:Adjoin:Impact (Brittany Kai Ching), Set on Stone (Margaret Wilson, Neil Humphrey), Inside/Out (Jennifer Deckert, Margaret Wilson, Aaron Wood), Poetry in Motion (Margaret Wilson, Neil Humphrey), Carmina Burana (Lawrence Jackson), Sastrugi (Margaret Wilson, Neil Humphrey), and The Nutcracker (Marsha Fay Knight).

Much of Brittany’s performance work at UW included vertical dance, a unique aspect of UW’s program, established and facilitated by Margaret Wilson and Neil Humphrey. Brittany performed vertical dance in many locations including on the proscenium stage, black box studio theatres, the Vedauwoo Recreation Center between Laramie and Cheyenne, and on the outside of the UW Physical Sciences building on the UW campus. She loves performing vertical because of the choreographic opportunities it presents, and the intense physicality it demands.

In addition to the UW faculty Brittany has also worked with Julia Mayo, Babs Case, Francesca Romo, Andre Megerdichian, Keith Saunders, Jacob Mora, Daniel Charon and the Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company, and the Joffrey Ballet. Brittany also had the pleasure of working with Bill T. Jones and Catherine Cabeen when they were in residence at the University during the fall of 2011, when she learned and was the understudy for Jones’ famous work “D-Man in the Waters.”

During the spring of 2015, Brittany worked as the Grants & Funding Intern for the Snowy Range Summer Dance Festival, held annually at the University of Wyoming. Through this internship, Brittany learned the ins and outs of writing grants and finding funding for dance festivals. Additionally, Brittany has worked for the Wyoming Institute for Disabilities (WIND) since September 2014, as the information services intern. In this role, she does significant website management and building, interviews, article writing, photography, and social media management. She loves working for WIND because of the skills she was able to take with her into other aspects of her dance career.

In addition to performing and teaching, Brittany works with dance studios, companies, and other arts initiatives on their funding needs.

Brittany danced with Soul 2 Sole's professional contemporary company, A*dore, and Mercury Dance Company from 2016-2017, performing and choreographing for several shows.

In August 2017, Brittany moved to Alamosa, CO. There she is teaching yoga and group fitness classes (POP Pilates, Circuit training), is a Personal Trainer (American College of Sport Medicine) and started a kids dance program.

She is a 200-hour Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT), a Registered Holy Yoga Instructor (R-HYI), and loves working with children.
